STEINBAUER Warranty Policy

⚠ PLEASE KEEP YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS.


Your proof of purchase is your warranty — a straightforward commitment  from us to you. Hold onto your original sales receipt for the life of  your coverage, and it's the only document you'll need should you ever  make a claim.


READ  THESE WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS (the "Agreement") CAREFULLY BEFORE  INSTALLING AND/OR USING THE ENCLOSED STEINBAUER PRODUCT (the "Product").  BY INSTALLING AND/OR USING THE PRODUCT, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE  TERMS. YOU MAY RETURN THE PRODUCT WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF THE DATE OF  PURCHASE, WITH WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM STEINBAUER, IF THE PRODUCT IS  IN NEW AND UNUSED CONDITION AND WITH A DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE FOR A  FULL REFUND. FINAL APPROVAL FOR THE REFUND REMAINS AT THE SOLE  DISCRETION OF STEINBAUER.


DISCLAIMER

Read  carefully before using or installing any STEINBAUER product. If you do  not agree with the terms of this document, then within seven days from  the date of purchase you may return the product, in a new and unused  condition and with a dated proof of purchase for a full refund. The use  or installation of this product indicates that you have read and  understand this document and accepts its terms and conditions.

REMEMBER THIS IS A HIGH PERFORMANCE PRODUCT. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.


SAFETY

To ensure the long-term benefits of your new STEINBAUER product please adhere to the following safety instructions:

  • Do  not install the Product while the ignition is on. Wait until the  ignition is completely off; this allows the ECU time to stop completely.  In some vehicles it may be necessary to remove the ignition key, close  and lock the doors.
  • The temperature of the engine and its  surroundings increase significantly during use. Please avoid any contact  between the wiring loom/harness and any metal parts in the engine  compartment.
  • The wiring loom/harness and product should be  connected securely with fasteners in order to avoid any damage and to  prevent functional errors that can be caused by faulty connections.
  • DO  NOT install the module to an area where it will experience extreme  direct heat. Incorrect installation will void your warranty.


LIMITED WARRANTY

STEINBAUER  warrants to the first retail purchaser that if used in a manner  consistent with STEINBAUER's safety, operating and other instructions,  the STEINBAUER manufactured product ("Product") you purchased will be  free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase or initial installation (whichever is earlier).

STEINBAUER  must be notified of all Limited Warranty claims timely and no later  than 30 days after the end of the three-year Limited Warranty period.  STEINBAUER must receive all products within 14 days of advised defect in  order for the warranty claim to be processed/honored.

Extended usage of an apparently faulty product may result in the voiding of any warranty.

Note:  For any product not manufactured by STEINBAUER, STEINBAUER does not  offer a warranty. Please refer to the manufacturer of those products for  any warranty that might apply.

This Limited Warranty is not transferable or assignable. It extends only to the first retail purchaser.

To  be eligible for service under this Limited Warranty, please retain your  original sales receipt as proof of purchase. Your proof of purchase is  the only document required to support a warranty claim.


TERMS OF LIMITED WARRANTY

Exclusions:

The  Limited Warranty does not cover deterioration of paint, other coating  on the product or any other condition due to normal wear and tear. The  Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by or affects of: (a)  improper installation, (b) misapplication, alteration from the original  design, (c) abuse, neglect, or negligence, (d) lack of proper  maintenance, (e) unauthorized or improper repair or alteration, or (f)  an act of God, terrorism or vandalism.

The Limited Warranty does  not cover any mechanical or electrical damage or maintenance charges for  the engine, gearbox, drive train or any other mechanical or electrical  components on the vehicle on which it is installed.


How to Receive Service:

To  make a Limited Warranty claim, you must notify STEINBAUER within 14  days of advised defect and provide your proof of purchase. The Product  must be returned, freight prepaid, to STEINBAUER for inspection, along  with a copy of the original purchase receipt and a completed Product  Return Form.

Failure to provide the Product Return  Form or a detailed description of the advised issue, may result in an  Administration/Handling fee being charged.

STEINBAUER reserves the  right to deny any Limited Warranty claim if a STEINBAUER approved  dealer has not inspected the original installation of the product.


What STEINBAUER will do:

If  STEINBAUER determines that a Product is covered by the Limited  Warranty, it will, in its sole discretion, either repair or replace the  non-conforming Product and send it back to you at no charge.  Alternatively, STEINBAUER may refund the purchase price paid for the  non-conforming Product.

Any replaced parts become STEINBAUER's  property. If STEINBAUER determines that the Product is not covered by  the Limited Warranty, you will be given a price quote for the repair and  return of the Product.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE IN A SAFE PLACE.


LIMITATIONS ON LIMITED WARRANTY

STEINBAUER  MAKES NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES BEYOND THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. ANY IMPLIED  WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHER  IMPLIED WARRANTY IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE THREE-YEAR LIMITED  WARRANTY PERIOD, AND NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES WILL EXIST OR APPLY AFTER  SUCH PERIOD.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL STEINBAUER  BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, PUNITIVE OR  SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR EXPENSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOST  PROFITS, EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN  NO EVENT SHALL STEINBAUER'S LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT,  STRICT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE, EVER EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE  PRODUCT AT ISSUE.


Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with the STEINBAUER product for any reason, simply notify STEINBAUER by calling 01553 829990 or emailing info@steinbauer.uk 


ADDITIONAL SERVICES — Update, Repair & Service Costs

STEINBAUER  provides product update, repair and when possible — change to new part  number to existing hardware on all products sold by STEINBAUER UK,  including products no longer covered by the Limited Warranty.

  • £45.00 – Inspection of module and/or harness that is out of warranty.
  • £250.00 – Reprogramming module to a different part number (if possible).
  • £45.00 – Cleaning & Repackaging.
  • £500.00 (from) – Certified Refurbished (1 year warranty).
  • £75.00 (from) – Administration / Tech Lab fee for harness repair.


NEW HARNESS PURCHASE

STEINBAUER  provides the option to purchase a new harness in the event of original  harness failure or product reprogramming. New harness orders will  require a photo of the STEINBAUER PowerModule showing the serial &  product number. 

NO DISCOUNT is available on harness purchases.


RETURN OF PRODUCTS – Unused and Unopened

STEINBAUER  will, at its sole discretion, accept any unopened and unused products  purchased in the current calendar year prior to 1st December, upon prior  written request and approval only, subject to inspection.

  • £45.00 – Administration fee for the return and credit to account for unused and unopened products.
  • If  more than 5 products are returned in the same year, the Administration  fee will be 10% of the original product purchase price.
